1. Who we are and what these terms cover
This website, onlineoceans.com, is operated by Online Oceans Robotics Limited (trading as Online Oceans), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15290665, with its registered office at 7 Bell Yard, London, WC2A 2JR. You can contact us at hello@onlineoceans.com.
These terms set out the basis on which you may access and use this website and its content. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree to them, you must not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
These terms govern use of the website only. The purchase of Scout vehicles, data services, software or any other product or service is governed by a separate written contract, not by these terms or by anything published on this site.
Our privacy policy and cookie policy also apply to your use of the site.
2. Intellectual property rights
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in this site and its content, including text, technical specifications, product descriptions, photographs, video, graphics, logos, page layouts and underlying code. These works are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws in the United Kingdom and internationally. All such rights are reserved.
You may view the site, and you may print or download extracts for your organisation's internal evaluation of our products and services, provided you do not modify them and you retain any proprietary notices. Our status as the author of content must always be acknowledged.
You must not otherwise reproduce, distribute, republish, frame, scrape, or create derivative works from any part of this site, or use any content for commercial purposes, without our prior written consent. If you breach these terms, your right to use the site stops immediately and you must destroy any copies you have made.
3. Permitted and prohibited use
You may use this site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- use the site in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation, including export control and sanctions laws;
- use automated tools to scrape, harvest, index or extract content or data from the site, except ordinary search engine indexing;
- use any content from the site to train, fine-tune or ground a machine learning model without our prior written consent;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the servers on which it is hosted, or any connected system;
- knowingly introduce viruses or other malicious or technologically harmful material;
- use the site or its content to build or market a competing product or service; or
- misrepresent any affiliation with us, or use our name, logo or imagery in a way that suggests endorsement without our written consent.
4. Information on this site is not an offer or advice
The content of this site is provided for general information about our products and services. Technical specifications, performance figures, endurance figures, pricing indications and delivery timescales are indicative only, may relate to specific configurations or conditions, and may change without notice. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer capable of acceptance, a warranty, or professional advice, and no contract is formed through this site. Product supply is subject to written agreement, and to export control and end-use screening where applicable.
Although we make reasonable efforts to keep the site up to date, we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, that the content is accurate, complete or current, and to the extent permitted by law we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations relating to the site and its content.
5. Availability of the site
The site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that it, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may suspend, withdraw or restrict the availability of all or part of the site for business or operational reasons without notice.
6. Links to other sites
Where this site links to third-party sites or resources, those links are provided for information only. We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss that may arise from your use of them.
7. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
Subject to that, and because the site is provided free of charge for general information: we exclude all liability for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, or from your use of or reliance on any content on it. In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss.
If you are dealing with us as a business, you accept that you are responsible for verifying, through direct enquiry and contractual documentation, any information on which you intend to rely.
8. Viruses and security
We do not guarantee that the site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your own technology to access the site and should use your own virus protection software.
9. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
10. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Any failure by us to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, their subject matter and formation are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site.
